Dear Parents/ Carers

Each year, our Yr 4 children participate in a special music project. This year, we are working with the Royal Festival Hall and taking part in a Gamelan workshop (Gamelan music is music from Indonesia, specifically Java and Bali) and then doing a performance at school over the following two weeks.

The workshop will take place at the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank on Wednesday July 3rd for Puffins class and Thursday July 4th for Hawks class.

For both trips, we will leave school at 9.00am and travel by train from Barnehurst station to Waterloo station and will be back at school by 3.00pm. Children will need a packed lunch to be taken in a disposable carrier bag.

This is a tremendous opportunity for children and one that I’m sure they will thoroughly enjoy.

Children need to be in school by 8:45am to give us time for safety talks before leaving the school.

We will be requiring a small number of parent helpers, if you are available and would like to help on the trip please let us know.
