This is the information contained in the confirmation email, which we will no longer be sending. We will only be sending the day, class time, and directions to the private pool.
All our swimmers would benefit from practicing on land, thus using our Kick, Stroke, Swim Program will increase their skill acquisition quicker. This is also excellent for practicing kicking with straight legs. (http://www.hawaiiswimming.org/land_training.php)
Reminders:
~Do not bring your swimmer to class if they are sick.
~Please come early enough to help your swimmer transition as well as be ready on time.
~No snacks on property-our apologies, however we are cleaning up a lot of trash and discarded food after lessons.
~The sign-in station is by the gate, please sign-in before entering the pool area.
This is a private pool, please see the additional expectations:
~Parking needs to be done head or back first, please do not parallel park.
~Swimmers will be required to take a shower prior to entering the pool; we do not have a heater for the shower so please prep your swimmer. It is especially important that hands and feet are clean before entering the water. The dirt that is transferred to the pool is immense and it is hard on the filtration system.
~For safety reasons and to help with the filtration system all hair must be tied back, no exceptions.
~Please do remember to have a rag of some type for the swimmers, on the deck with them, so they can address any personal needs that may arise. Idea: One Ohana put the rags in a plastic Tupperware container, that seemed to work very well.
~Please wear foot coverings on the deck.
~No glass is allowed on or around the pool area.
~There is limited shade so please plan ahead.
~We need to be sensitive to the neighbors with noise volume.
~Sunscreen must be put on your swimmer 30 minutes prior to entering the water; it takes that long to activate to protect your swimmer, and protect the filtration system.
Please be sure you review all policies. Pay particular attention to the Release of Liability Policies (2 separate policies), and Swim at Own Risk~NO Lifeguard On-Duty! You can find the policies here: http://www.hawaiiswimming.org/policies_page.php You should also review the Details page
Extra Information:
~There are books on the shelves by the screen door; swimmers may take one with them at the end of class. If you have books you want to give to others, feel free to put them on the shelves.
~Please be sure the stampers lids are put back on tightly.
~Please "friend" us on FaceBook so you can enjoy our posts and the swimmers' pictures; and this is where we post any last minute changes or cancellation of classes. (https://www.facebook.com/hawaiiswimming)
