As many of you already know, we are currently in the process of expanding our gym! What initially started as a simple project has become a much larger project because the city of Oakland is requiring us to do a lot of work on the building. This delay and pushback in the timeline is really hard for us because we don't have a whole lot of money saved up for a large expansion like this. For the last 4 years, we've put every dollar we made back into the business and towards funding our other subsidized youth programs. Our goal has and always will be impact over profits, but that makes an expansion like this pretty much impossible without outside help. On top of paying for the build out the new gym, we've recently brought on new staff into the community to better serve our youth. These new coaches are now also part of our community and we want to be able to support them so they can give our students their all. These coaches love working with our kids and share my same passion for teaching our kids lifelong lessons through the sport of rock climbing.

As our gym is growing in all these different ways, what we really need right now is financial support from wherever we can get it. I'm working on a big fundraising event, but one way that you can support us today is by buying some swag from us. I've received a lot of requests over the years for the sweatshirts that our coaches wear and so we are going to release another limited run of our sweatshirts for purchase.

Please consider buying one for yourself, your kids, your family and friends. Winter is coming and I can attest to the comfort and warmth of these sweatshirts. It's my go to sweatshirt for all occasions. Maybe you know a climber that would love one for a Christmas present or birthday gift? I can ship the sweatshirt for you too if you'd like as long as you can pay a little extra for the shipping.
