Volunteers Needed 23-24
Volunteers are an invaluable resource to our teachers and students. Those who volunteer at school will sharpen their teaching skills, become better leaders, and develop a sense of pride in contributing to students’ success. At Monterey Heights STEAM Academy, we welcome families as being collaborative partners in the success of our students.

At Monterey Heights we understand that parents are busy and have little to no spare time. Though we appreciate all the help we can get, no school is expecting a full-time volunteer commitment.

Volunteering doesn’t always have to be in the classroom or during school hours. There are a variety of things you can do, such as:

  • Helping setup/take down for school events
  • Assisting teachers in building classroom kits at home
  • Reading with children after hours
  • Offering to tutor students
  • Supporting with afterschool family events or parent workshops

During school hours, we do have a Parent Resource Center that is open weekly to parents who are able to come on campus to volunteer (see hours below). During this time parents are able to assist with things like:

  • Cutting out lamination for teachers
  • Organizing copies
  • Assisting with classroom craft kits
  • Preparing flyers
  • Stuff envelopes
  • Preparing for School Festivals
  • Campus Celebrations
  • Supervising at school celebrations
  • Demonstrating or teaching students about an area of expertise

AND SO MUCH MORE!! For more information or additional questions please email our Parent Volunteer Coordinator ay jcendejas@lemongrovesd.net.

Thank you,

Mrs. Turner- Principal
Ms. Cendejas- Parent Volunteer Coordinator
