Area 3 Volunteer Form
AURORA is pleased to announce an immersive exhibition titled Area 3, which will transform over 100,000 square feet of a parking garage in downtown Dallas. Area 3 will function on a shared profit model in an experiment to support local artists and vendors whose income has been affected in the wake of COVID-19. Featuring works by sixteen regional artists, the exhibition will include large-scale light, video, and sound installations as well as performances which will be viewable from the safety of attendees’ own cars.

Area 3 will take place in the Dal Park Parking Garage (1600 Commerce Street) from October 1, 2020–January 1, 2021.  Reservation times during November and December are from 6:00pm-12:00am.  We will not be operating on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day.

We are asking for volunteer help for the following jobs during the duration of Area 3.
-Point of entry off Commerce St. at the ticket gate: Pulling garage tickets, assisting with any questions that attendees may have.
-Area 3 Lobby: Confirm/collect tickets: can be on their phone or email, traffic control: help cars stage for entry of event, give driver a QR code and show how to attach to the garage ticket for exit.
-Corridors on Levels 3 and 4: Maintain traffic flow in the corridors, troubleshoot.

Your safety during COVID is of utmost importance to us.  Please be aware that we are taking all precautions as followed by the CDC.  Each volunteer area will follow socially distant guidelines and you will have limited contact with patrons (from a distance.)  For your protection, please bring a face mask.  You are welcome to wear gloves and any other PPE you prefer.  We will be providing sanitizer.

-Must be 18 years of age
-Must not be sensitive to light and loud sounds
-Must not be sensitive to smoke (from hazers in some installations)
-Must sign a liability waiver
