Thank you for getting a Brainchild ticket, and for clicking through to this! We know these forms can sometimes feel intrusive or exhausting, and often we don't know why we're being asked to fill them out. So here's why we're asking and why it would be a huge help if you'd be up for filling it out:

1) Collecting & monitoring information about who’s at our festival helps us to have an accurate benchmark on our progress to becoming a more inclusive, diverse and anti-racist organisation. It will help us to spot patterns and potential barriers to attendance, and allow us to be more accountable in future.
2) We deeply value the diverse community that’s grown with us so far, and having this info about our audience will help us see if we’re growing the festival in the right way - with this same community still coming back year on year.
3) This will also allow us to feedback accurately to funders like Arts Council or PRS Foundation, who require this information on their applications, and who are vital in supporting us to deliver & improve our projects.
