2021-22 GHS Musical Audition Form
We are so excited about our school musical this year!  This is the beginning of a busy schedule, but we know it will be well worth it!  Please fill out the following form and read this contract carefully so you know what is expected of you if cast in this musical.

You will need to memorize a slate (including your name, song selection title and monologue title), a 30 second song selection and a 30 second monologue which you will perform during the audition block you sign up for (either Monday, August 23 or Tuesday, August 24.) The sign up sheets are on the Call Board outside Rm U605.

ELIGIBILITY Students are required to keep grades passing. If they have 2 or more F's in any of their classes, they will be placed on probation and will be unable to rehearse for a week. If they are out for more than one week, they may need to be replaced.

ACTIVITY FEE: Each cast member will be required to pay a $60.00 activity fee.  With the exception of tickets, this will be the only fee required by cast members. Assistance may be available for families in financial crisis. Please let us know ASAP if cast if this is the case.

ADDITIONAL INFO: Due to time constraints there will be Saturday rehearsals.
.• Anytime students are scheduled to rehearse, they need to be present.
Any missed rehearsal without notification is reason for dismissal.  Any excessive absenteeism is reason for dismissal.
Most weekday rehearsals start at 3:40 in the choir room.
Every effort will be made to stick to the rehearsal schedule.  Adjustments may be needed as we go.
If students miss a rehearsal close to the show without prior approval they may be replaced.
Actors should not change their hair without permission from the director until the show closes.

By clicking the box below, you feel that you can be an asset to the GHS musical.  If cast in the show you will, to the best of your abilities, be responsible for your part in making the production a huge success, including keeping your grades above D, memorizing on time, attending all required rehearsals. In case of an emergency absence, such as illness, you will contact Mrs. Lindahl as soon as possible.   Please be supportive of all your classmates whether they are cast or not cast in this show. We are a close-knit department so things that may be said when someone is hurting, usually get around. Try not to lash out over social media because you may regret it later, after it is too late to take back. Choose to take the high road rather than lower yourself to tearing someone else down to try to make you or someone else feel better. It usually does the opposite.  The directors love to teach because we love teenagers. We want you all to succeed, so this is the difficult part of our jobs. If you don't make this particular production, it does not mean that we don't like you or don't want you to succeed. Quite the opposite! *
