Before a Man is born into Patriarchy he has a life or death decision to make. Your choice for life came at the cost of disconnecting from huge parts of your Being that just did not fit in. To mask this pain, you had to create a 'you' that could fit in by winning, or fighting against, or kneeling down to Patriarchy. If you are reading this, you are a Man who has knows that behind the 'you' of survival strategies and automated responses and reactions, and masks, and walls, and fakeness, and secret life, and the loneliness under the surface...... there is another life to be lived in every moment. A life that includes all of you; not just your physical body and your intellect, but your heart, your energetic presence, and your Archetypal body which has purpose, vision, and your 'soul-work' on Earth.
But how to live this life?
One Winter a Polish Man's shower drain got totally blocked by 10cm thick ice. It was so cold outside that the residue water in the pipes had frozen! It took him one full hour, going back and forth with kettles of boiling water, letting it melt some of the ice, then sucking up the water, and pouring in another jug.
Finally the water could flow and him and his family could shower!
After that 1hr mission, he did not want to let that shower get blocked up again... and what he found is that if he boiled just one jug every morning, it was enough to keep the pipes unfrozen for the Winter.
This is a fantastic metaphor for the transformation of Men, and if you have been through a Rage Club, Expand The Box or Inward Men's Research space you will have a sense for what it takes to unblock whatever is in the way of you expressing your emotions and impulses in an authentic way. You might also have experienced how quickly the 'drain' can get frozen up again... in your case, your heart.
An ongoing momentum is needed to keep yourself liquid and present, until liquid and present just becomes who you are.
An integral part of unfolding your Adult presence includes your Emotional Healing Processes (EHPs). Each EHP is a personal journey into the unknown where you face into unhealed emotions and survival strategies that are in the way of your presence, and without knowing what life will be like on the other side you do what it takes to make the shift from survival to Radical Responsibility where you are at source of your life.
This kind of healing can not be forced or pushed with
brute force, and at the same time it does not work to be passive. It
needs care, attention, fierce love, clarity and delicacy. It needs all your senses online, and especially the inner compass of your feelings to navigate into the liquid state. As your survival strategies become conscious and crumble away, what you find is that there is still something left. Because what is real
about you can not crumble away. The real you is what is left when
the other stuff is out of the way. As you practise and implement empowering ways to navigate your day to day life with clarity and integrity, you gain more and more momentum, you radiate, you fall through the cracks in the floor of Patriarchy and unfold your Adult life in Archiarchy.
Men's Healing Team is an 8-week
journey, with the main purpose of a Team of Men taking significant steps to be
present in their lives and with each other.
During these 8 weeks you will:
- Be in a safe and clear space where your heart can open and authentic healing can happen.
- Learn and use the foundational skills of holding space for EHPs.
- Experience and practise the intensity of 'heart and sword' that is needed for you to hold space for healing, connection and collaboration between Men.
- Unfold Archiarchal Men's Culture.
Commitment
1. Weekly 2hr sessions
1 session / month: context & research space
3 sessions / month: context + holding space for EHPs
2. Weekly 1.5hr in your 3Cell between sessions
3. Relevant daily practises in your life that you will create, to implement your healing and transformation.
