Ponderosa PTA has generously funded Art in Action for grades K-5. It is an art program that is aligned with California Academic Standards for Visual Arts. 2-3 parent volunteers per class are needed to support Art in Action at Ponderosa.  Parents are needed to teach or assist with lessons, to help prepare art materials in advance of lessons, set-up for lessons, and clean up after lessons. Lessons are only once a month.

Art in Action is for non-artists and artists alike! You do not have to be an artist or artistic to volunteer. REMINDER: Volunteers need to complete a volunteer packet and get fingerprinted before they can volunteer in the classroom. If you need more information, you can receive it in the office.
