WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
Do you like making up songs and dances? Well check out this Musical Improv Workshop where you will get to make up new stories and sing your heart songs to move the scene along. Dance in a chorus or front and centre in all movements you've made up on the spot. Practice improv warm-ups and games that will get you ready to make up stories turned into musicals!

ABOUT:
Adrianne Gagnon, a seasoned improv instructor and performer with over 15 years of captivating audiences and nurturing emerging talent across North America. As the driving force behind the Big City Improv Festival in Toronto, Canada, Adrianne's visionary leadership as founder and executive producer propelled the festival's success for 7 incredible years. 

Adrianne's dedication to the art of improvisation shines through her work with the renowned three-woman improv troupe, 'We're From Here.' Their dynamic performances have left a trail of laughter and inspiration wherever they go, earning them a well-deserved reputation across Canada and the United States.

With an unwavering passion for sharing her expertise, Adrianne has lent her teaching and technical talents to prestigious institutions like Second City Toronto’s Education Company, enriching the minds of aspiring improvisers. Her instructional prowess extends beyond the classroom, as she has graced stages at various festivals and improv centers across the continent, leaving an indelible mark on the improv community.

With an impressive blend of creativity, experience, and leadership, Adrianne continues to shape the world of improv, leaving a legacy of laughter, innovation, and artistic growth in her wake. She is thrilled to be part of the team at Spontaneity Improv and looks forward to growing both the musical and non-musical improv scene in Halifax.

What is your improv background and experience?
Media Release: I give permission to have my photo taken and be filmed in videos for Spontaneity Improv Company. I also give permission for my image to be used in photos and videos for Spontaneity Improv Company on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, or Pinterest for promotional material, posters, and online content.

COVID-19 Protocols: We will not be requiring masks to be worn in our classes. If a student would like to wear theirs, they are more than welcome to do so. We will be sanitizing our space regularly and have hand sanitizer readily available.  *
Snow Day/ Cancellations/ Changes/  Refunds Policy: 
We will announce cancellations no later than the morning before the class. We will notify you if the class will be held over Zoom, if an additional class will be scheduled or if we will be cancelling all together

Spontaneity Improv Classes reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient registration numbers. In this event, all fees for said cancelled class will be refunded. Registrants may also transfer any payment made for a cancelled workshop to a workshop that will continue to run provided there is space remaining.

Withdrawal notice must be sent to info@spontaneityimprov.ca. This notice must be submitted no later than 48 hours before the class is scheduled to begin. 

-If withdrawal notice is submitted more than 48 hours prior to the class's start date, the registrant will be entitled to a refund of the registration cost. 

-There are no refunds by the beginning of the workshop. (unless under special circumstances)

Participation Liability Waiver: I give my approval to participate in activities at Spontaneity Improv Company, from all claims for damages arising from accidents or injuries which are caused by or arise from participation in the facilities of Spontaneity Improv Company. I authorize that Spontaneity staff can use their best judgement in any emergency situation. An ambulance may be called to transport you to the hospital if required and the emergency contact will be called. In signing this application, I hereby acknowledge that I have read and understood the conditions.
