Kalapriya is bringing back our Journey Through South Asia Day Camp for students age 6 - 11.

Each week campers will embark on a cultural journey that includes exploration of South Asian culture through dance, music, yoga, history, art, dramatic play, foreign languages and more.

Social History and Geography
The kids will immerse themselves in different regions when they virtually travel each week. They will study maps and bodies of water to get an idea of what it is like to live in each location.

Language Arts and Culture
They will hear fables and folktales that were passed down from generation to generation. They will participate in performance skits, dances and puppet shows. Students will explore music and see instruments from afar.

Mental & Physical Health
They will play indoor and outdoor games and learn basic yoga and activities that promote mindfulness.

This six week camp will take place from 9am - 12pm at the South Asia Institute - 1925 South Michigan Avenue 60616

Yoga will be outdoors at the Chicago Women's Park and Gardens - 1801 S Indiana Ave, Chicago, IL 60616

There will be only 10 students allowed per week and we will follow strict CDC guidelines to keep everyone safe.

Camp will take place July 12 - August 20

Summer Camp Fees: You can buy one week for $200 or all six weeks for $1050.
