The operations of S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market are governed by the following policies and procedures. The intent of this document is to provide operational guidelines and policies that will aid in the success of the Market.
The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce organizes the market to encourage local growers, crafters, artisans, bakers, vendors, and non-profits to participate in this community activity. The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce is committed to upholding the mission of the Market. We work hard to make the market a successful and fun event for the enjoyment of our community.
Market Location: Town Square, 326 1st St, Havre, MT 59501
Market Season: July 8th - September 9th from 8:00am – 12:00pm
Festival Days: September 16th from 8:00am – 12:00pm
Market Fees
$20.00/week for Non-Chamber Members
No cost (free) for Chamber Members - does not include Festival Days
Electricity is available for $10/week (chamber and non-chamber members)
Non-Chamber Members have the option to pay a one-time fee of $220.00 for the entire Saturday Market season - does not include Festival Days

Policies & Procedures
Sellers must be set up and ready for business no later than 7:30am
All fees and forms are due by the Thursday prior to the Market by noon. Anything turned in after will not be accepted.
Spaces are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Smaller vendors with a table are asked to set up in Town Square on the concrete pads and lawn area. The parking lot is reserved for large vendors with trailers, vehicles, etc. that they sell from.
No vehicles allowed in the market area unless you are selling from them. Once you have set up your market space – please move your vehicle to an off-site parking area. For the safety of market patrons, all vehicles must be clear of the area by 7:45am. No parking on 3rd and 4th Aves. adjacent to the Park. Parking adjacent to Town Square must be left open for Market customers and the local businesses near Town Square. Off-site parking: 4th Ave & 3rd Ave – between Main and 1st St, or the parking lot on the corner of 5th Ave and 1st Street. Please respect the parking areas in front of businesses and in close proximity to the park for customers as defined in the Market Rules.
Vendors need to provide everything necessary to conduct business; i.e. tables, chairs, tents, signage
Limited electricity is available at an additional fee of $10/week. The need for electricity must be specified and paid for at the time of registration
Please stay close to your booths, do not wander to solicit business from other vendors’ booths or in the common area of the Market
The grass/lawn area is equipped with an underground sprinkler system. Please watch for sprinkler heads and setup/teardown with care. No tent spikes, or stakes allowed in the grass at Town Square. Tents/canopies may be anchored down with sandbags. Vendors are liable for damage to the sprinkler system.
No hanging or tying banners or signs off of lampposts, trees, or any other park infrastructure
No vendor at the Market will be allowed to break down their booth before 12pm.
No firearms, alcohol, drugs, or pets allowed
No political campaigning or defamatory messaging allowed
Who Can Sell at the Market?
Local/Area Growers, Crafters, Makers, Artists, Bakers: The sale of local/area produce and handcrafted items is encouraged. Produce purchased from a commercial supplier (Sysco) does not comply with the market mission.
Commercial Vendors: The first priority is to the vendors (local growers and crafters, artisans and bakers) that fulfill the mission statement and maintain the spirit of the Market
Non-profit Groups: same fees apply
The sale of yard, garage, or flea market items are NOT permitted at S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Market
The goal of Havre’s Saturday market is to provide a mechanism for a seasonal farmer’s market. Fees collected are used for insurance, marketing, advertising, electricity, and maintenance of Town Square. Sellers are expected to abide by the policies and procedures in this document. The Havre Area Chamber of Commerce has the final authority for conducting the Market and is authorized to deviate from the rules when it is in the best interest of the Market.
