Code of Conduct

Competing for and holding the Miss Ozark Rodeo Association title is both an honor and a responsibility. As Miss/Teen/Jr Miss/Little Miss Ozark Rodeo Association, you are the face and symbol of rodeo to the Ozark Rodeo Association.

As such, rodeo cowboys and cowgirls depend on you to represent and promote the western lifestyle and the sport in a conscientious and respectable manner; aspiring rodeo queens of equal and greater age to the very young look to you as someone to study and emulate; individuals of all ages with an interest in the sport and nostalgia for the rodeo world will look to you for information and seek your time and attention. You model sportsmanship. Your conduct and demeanor is under constant scrutiny. You are a spokesperson, a role model, and encouraging word to rodeo and queen competitors alike. You are an icon for the sport of rodeo, and you represent the best the Ozark Rodeo Association has to offer.

The Miss Ozark Rodeo Association Pageant seeks young women fully capable of fulfilling this role with grace, maturity, and sophistication the title deserves. To demonstrate this capacity the organization expects Miss/Teen/Jr Miss/Little Miss Ozark Rodeo Association to comply with the following code of conduct:

  • Follow the rules and requirements of all organizations and rodeos with whom you visit.

  • Be on time to all pageant function and events.

  • Follow the directions of the Pageant Director and ORA Board of Directors.

  • Practice and encourage positive, supportive, sportsmanlike conduct toward every individual.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor.

  • Maintain high moral standards.

  • Do not consume alcohol, tobacco (including vapes or jules) or controlled substances prior to or

during a scheduled appearance, nor while in official attire following that appearance.

Failure to follow the Code of Conduct and association pageant eligibility requirements and other pageant rules may result in immediate forfeiture of awards, prizes, and the title.

I have read, understood and agree to abide by the Miss Ozark Rodeo Association Pageant Code of Conduct as state on this document. If selected as Queen, these rules and guidelines will remain in effect throughout my reign.
