We are EXTREMELY excited to announce that we will be running 2 Feiseanna this June! The first annual Burke Connolly Feis AND we have proudly taken over Feis Na Tara to run its 30th year and beyond!

Our Feiseanna will be held on June 12th & June 13th. We are hoping to also offer grade exams 1-10 on June 11th.

Both Feiseanna will be hosted by our new 501c3 organization whose purpose is to promote Irish culture & competitions in the Atlanta Community.

Our goal is to use the 501c3 as a way to raise funds for our BC dancers in the form of travel stipends to dance competitions etc, to contribute to local school arts programs and the Irish arts, and potentially give back to the Irish dance community at large.

The success of our Feiseanna depends on the dedication of our Burke Connolly Family & Friends who are willing to volunteer their time to help make this event run smoothly. ALL BC FAMILIES WILL NEED TO VOLUNTEER IN SOME CAPACITY. There are a wide variety of volunteer opportunities depending on how much time you can give.

Please let us know below which volunteer opportunities you would be interested. Once we know that, we will create committees. Ideally each volunteer will only be on 1 committee.

Fundraising Events (examples: 50/50 raffle, Super Bowl squares, send thank you notes, etc)

Sponsorship Procurement (examples: donating a trophy, ad in program, sending thank you notes etc)

Stages (Day of help with building stages, taking stages down, stage maintenance throughout the day)

Trophies (Ordering, storing, transporting, inventory, etc)

Awards Room (Communicating with tabulation, handing out awards, announcing awards, etc)

Social Media (SarahKate Abercrombie Committee head (Work with Sarahkate to: create Social Media Calendar & help day of social media announcements - awards/recalls etc)

Registration (Create competitor numbers, organize, hand out morning of competition)

Hospitality (Coordinating Transportation to/from airport for Judges/Musicians, creating welcome bags, Organizing lunch/dinners)

Tabulation (Helping a hired tabulation company with running scores to/from judges, delivering scores to awards room/announcers)

Vendors (Coordinate with vendors for set up & take down)

Food/Drink (depends heavily on venue - potential make reservations, coordinate w/ hospitality committee)

Signage (Assess needs for signage, design/coordinate designs, set up at hotel)

Clean up/Lost and Found (Help clean up after feis, collect lost items & help get them to their owners)

Stage Managers (Most likely 3 hour shifts: Morning, Early Afternoon, Afternoon. Will have more specific sign ups closer to the event.)

Grade Exam Organizer (Grade exams will be held at the studio on the Friday before the feis)

Used Dress Sale Room (Set up used dress room, may require asking for clothing racks, help contact dresses left at end)

Volunteer Coordinator (Maintain list of volunteers & contact information. Volunteers will check in with you on day for feis for instructions)
