The vision of Granite United Church is to make fully devoted followers of Christ! One way that we accomplish that vision is by partnering with parents to help raise their children to love and honor God, and to one day give their lives to HIM!

Our desire to come alongside parents to help them be the people that God wants them to be, so they can be the best parents he wants them to be! It is important for parents to:

1. Live a godly life that models a Christ centered home.  Most common examples, if a couple is cohabitating we ask them to consider marriage as their next step.  Child dedication is a serious commitment before the Lord and as their church we want to make sure that we are dedicating kids and parents who are committed to honoring Christ with the most crucial relationship in the home.

2. Be a part of the local church...we ask that parents have been a part of our campus for longer than 6 months to make sure they understand the vision and want to be a part of it! Another area they can be a part of is on a ministry team or small group! Being a part of the 2 groups will be the most helpful to them in their walk with God and as parents!

As their campus pastor, you have been given the responsibility to pastor and lead them! Which means that if there are steps that need to be taken, you are the one to help them take the steps! If they are ready for child dedication, that means that you are partnering with them to love them, encourage them, guide them, support them and pray for them!

By completing this form, you are stating that you have discussed child dedication with each parent and that you are recommending them to be a part of an upcoming child dedication.

If you have met with the family and there are steps that need to be taken, come alongside of them to help take those steps, and once they are completed then you can recommend them in the future.
