MEDem - Personal Expression of Endorsement

To whom it may concern,

The social sciences and humanities play an indispensable role in understanding the functioning of democracies and comprehending the intricate dynamics between citizens, elites, legislatures, governments, and media within the democratic process. However, the present-day political challenges demand a multidimensional approach that transcends national boundaries and singular perspectives.

In order to meet these challenges head-on, Monitoring Electoral Democracy (MEDem), a future-oriented European research infrastructure, has the primary objective to facilitate comprehensive and innovative comparative research on democracies. Through the interoperability of vast amounts of datasets, covering many different data objects on the micro, meso, or macro level (e.g. voter surveys, media/party texts, official country-level statistics) from numerous democracies, the true potential of their invaluable data resources will be unleashed.

By signing this online form, I demonstrate my endorsement for MEDem to be included onto the ESFRI Roadmap. I believe in the transformative power of research and collaboration that will be fostered within MEDem and I fully support the MEDem infrastructure.

I grant MEDem the permission to publish my endorsement, while acknowledging my right to withdraw my support at any time, for any reason, and without further justification.
