The Interprofessional Healthcare Students’ Association (IPHSA) is dedicated to fostering interprofessional education and collaboration between healthcare disciplines. IPHSA provides opportunities for healthcare students to connect via student socials, interprofessional workshops and seminars, creation and facilitation of IPE electives and more! If you are passionate about interprofessional education and would like to be part of a team of dedicated students from various healthcare disciplines who share a common goal, now is your chance to get involved with IPHSA!
These applications are on a rolling basis! We will be sending out emails to let you know if your application has been expected on a monthly basis.
Time commitment: Meet once a month for one to two hours (mostly virtually). More frequent meetings may be required leading up to an event. Members are expected to attend 75% of all meetings and events to qualify for the IPE credit.
You will receive one (1) IPE elective credit for your participation.
Disclaimer: You can receive a maximum of (2) IPE credits if you join 2 or more committees. For example, if you join 3 subcommittees, you will still only qualify for (2) IPE credits per academic year.______
OUTREACH SUBCOMMITTEE
Are you interested in joining an interdisciplinary team to promote a better understanding of the professions involved in interprofessional healthcare? This committee plans and leads workshops where high school/undergraduate students can learn about different health professions and explore their career interests. This is a great chance to represent your healthcare profession and network with many like-minded students in other programs represented by IPHSA. The committee will be led by IPHSA’s two VPs of Outreach.
Outreach Committee Member Role & Descriptions:
* Attend agreed upon meeting dates
* Contribute by generating ideas for Outreach events (2-4 per year)
* Work together to help run networking events with high school and undergraduate students
* Provide administrative support as needed
