Your Store Tools Beta Program Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for the Your Store Tools Beta Program.  The primary focus of this beta is to test our premium app, CopyCat Category Duplicator.  However, we encourage you to test the other free tools that are part of the Your Store Tools suite.

Before applying, it is important that you read and understand the terms and conditions of this beta program.  Additionally, please note that due to the strong interest in being a part of this beta program, participation is limited and not all who apply will be accepted or will be accepted later on in the program.

Participants who are chosen to be beta testers will be notified at the email provided below and will receive instructions for creating a Your Store Tools account along with links to support documentation and videos for all free tools as well as CopyCat.

If you choose to be a part of the beta, we would be looking for you to:

  • Actively use CopyCat on a regular basis to create new CopyCat categories set up as either auto-sync or not;

  • Edit or delete CopyCat-created categories;

  • Provide feedback on the user interface;

  • Provide feedback on our support documentation;

  • Report errors, bugs, or unexpected behavior;

  • Provide ongoing feedback on the app;

  • Take part in specific beta tasks that may be assigned to test a specific feature or function.

In addition, at the conclusion of the beta test, whether you choose to continue to use CopyCat or not we would ask you to:

  • Post a review on the CopyCat app page in the BigCommerce App Store;

  • Provide a testimonial about CopyCat that we can use for marketing purposes.

Now, there are a few important things to cover regarding CopyCat post-beta:

  1. While CopyCat has been thoroughly tested by our developers on test stores, you may encounter errors or bugs which we encourage you to report.  

  2. CopyCat does not have access to store themes, so no changes are made to page layouts or website design.  However, it will need access to create, edit, and delete categories.  These permissions are granted via API keys created when you sign up for a Your Store Tools account.

  3. If you choose not to use CopyCat after the beta period, the categories created by CopyCat will continue to be accessible in your store, however, any that are set up to auto-sync will no longer sync.

  4. We anticipate that the beta period will last until April 30, 2023, and during that time you will have access to CopyCat at no charge.  If the beta program ends prior to April 30, 2023, you will continue to receive free access until that date.

  5. If you choose to continue using CopyCat after April 30, 2023, a monthly recurring fee of $20 will apply.  However, as one of the early access beta testers, we will reduce the monthly fee to $15.
