*****IMPORTANT INFORMATION*****
Thank you for considering to serve in HCAC/HGMAC's VBS! This year's theme: JERUSALEM MARKETPLACE.
We ask that volunteers are going into grade 9 or above this coming September.

Here are some responsibilities that we require all volunteers to have:
DURING VBS WEEK (August 8 - August 12, 2022)
- Attend daily devotions @ 8:00 AM
- Arrive earlier than 8:00 AM if needing to set up
- If you are experiencing any COVID symptoms during training sessions or the week of VBS, please notify one of the VBS directors and do not attend to ensure the safety of VBS’ campers and volunteers.

PRE-VBS
- Attend EVERY VBS volunteer meeting: July 9, July 23 and August 6

ROLES: Please check off the top 3 areas you prefer to serve in. (NOTE: Some of these stations will be subject to change within the next couple of weeks due to finalizing the curriculum and schedule for the day) *

Teacher's Assistant (T.A.): leading your group to the correct stations on time, building relationships with the kids and helping them to understand the daily messages, helping station volunteers when you're at the station

Games: Interactive team building activities that promote the daily theme. Volunteers are expected to brain storm games that uphold daily themes while being suitable for specific age groups.

Crafts: Symbolizing daily themes through arts and crafts. Volunteers are expected to explain and relate the daily theme through crafts that they will design. The crafts will vary by age and volunteers will be required to interact with children .

Teaching Time: Lessons tie to the daily Bible Point and asks engaging discussion questions that allow kids to open up and share their own stories.

Story Time: Enacting daily bible stories in an interactive and interesting manner.

Skit: Performing a short skit every morning during the Opening Ceremony to get the kids excited for their day

Decoration Prep (before VBS week): The entire church will be decorated for VBS. Tasks include painting, drawing, setting up and making props.
