CMDA Obstetrics & Gynecology Section
Welcome! This is an application to join the ObGyn Section of CMDA.

Our section constituents are healthcare students, residents, fellows, physicians and advanced practitioners interested in obstetrics, gynecology and women's health who are:

A. Involved with CMDA in some capacity on a local regional or national level;
B. In agreement with this section's purposes, beliefs and program; and
C. Willing to actively participate in the life of the section.

CMDA membership is not required to join our section, but is highly encouraged! Section members who are CMDA members are eligible to vote, hold office or propose amendments to the section bylaws, found here. 

Constituents of the CMDA ObGyn section will receive communications and publications of the section, and are invited to participate in section events and activities. We expect that all constituents will make a reasonable effort to participate in the annual CMDA meeting, either virtually or in person.

To that end, we have several questions for you to affirm below, prior to joining. Thereafter, we will obtain your demographic information. If you have any questions, problems or concerns, please reach out to obgyn@cmda.org . We are excited to partner with you!

Our Purpose and Mission
A. The mission of the CMDA Obstetrics and Gynecology Section is to educate,
encourage and equip Christian Practitioners in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s
Health demonstrating the love and compassion of the Lord Jesus Christ to patients,
to families, to our colleagues, to our communities, and to the world.

B. We strive to use life affirming, Biblical principles to guide competent,
compassionate, and scientifically sound women’s health care and to live our lives as
a reflection of the image of God.

C. We promote relationships, comradery, and mentorship amongst students, residents,
and practitioners in Obstetrics and Gynecology throughout the educational process
and the practice of medicine.

Statement of Belief
While each of us holds fast to additional beliefs important to our relationship with
God, the following statement outlines the tenets that provide a foundation for our
fellowship and participation in the Christian Medical & Dental Associations.

We believe:
1. In the divine inspiration and final authority of the Bible as the Word of God;
2. In the eternal God revealed in Holy Scripture as Father, Son and Holy Spirit;
3. In the unique Deity of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, whose death and
resurrection provide by grace through faith the only means of my salvation;
4. In the transforming presence and power of the Holy Spirit.
