2023 New Zealand Water Polo National Awards  - Referee of the Year
Please complete the Referee of the Year nomination on the below form.

Nominations: 
  • Nominations are invited from anyone including individuals, Clubs and Centres.
  • The nomination must be completed on the below form with any supporting documentation attached.
  • The nominee must have been refereeing for more than five years.
  • The nominated official should be a qualified currently registered referee. 
  • If the nomination does not meet the award criteria it will not be accepted. 
  • Nominations must relate to the 2023 Season.   

Award Criteria:
  1. A referee who shares his or her knowledge and skills and contributes to the growth and development of others. 
  2. A referee who brings honour and respect to the role of official and to the game.
  3. Evidence of them consistently contributing as a referee to the success and enjoyment of competitions and participation in water polo. 
  4. Clear demonstration of them living and delivering against New Zealand Water Polo values.   

Nominations must be received by New Zealand Water Polo by Monday, 19th February 2024

There are 3 Finalists per category.
Finalists will be announced by Friday 1st March 2024.
Finalists will be notified and their names published by NZWP
Finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held after the AGM 
Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony (immediately after the AGM) on Saturday, 6 April 2024.
