Project Description
The One Island, One Earth project resulted in the first comprehensive Ecological Footprint and Fingerprint analysis for a small island community in North America.  The key finding is that, if every human community on the planet lived like Galiano Island community members, an equivalent of 4.3 "Earths" would be required to support that lifestyle.  Of this total, the equivalent of 2.6 "Earths" can be reduced through actions taken at the community and individual level.

You do not have to have viewed our project results to answer this survey.  However, we do pose some follow-up questions to community members who are aware of the project results, whether through our final report, our interactive webmap, our June 5-12 2022 exhibition at the Yellowhouse, our presentations, or other interpretive materials produced by the Galiano Conservancy.
