How to Succeed in Math Lab
This class is designed to help students understand math concepts, be more efficient at math procedures, and get help in the areas where they are having difficulties.

To get a good grade you need to:
- Try to do every problem and show your work.
We will often be working on Chromebooks, but you will need paper and pencils to work out math problems. Writing down and showing your work helps you learn and remember how to do the problems. Showing all the steps of your work is also the only way for the teacher to help you identify where you are making mistakes.

- Stay on task.
Your grade for this class is based on how well you work and participate in this class.

- Never give up!
Remember even a wrong answer is a step in the right direction because you are trying. “I don’t know” is never acceptable answer in this class.

Citizenship
Citizenship grades are given according to the number of tardies or infractions of the school and class rules.

H = No infractions
S = 1 or 2 infractions
N = 3 or 4 infractions
U = 5 or more infractions

The most important rule is to show RESPECT to the teacher, other students and yourself, but here are few other to remember:
- Be in your seat with your materials, ready to work, before the bell has finished ringing.
- Keep your hands, feet, and objects to yourself. If it’s not yours don’t touch it.
- Follow instructions the first time they are given.
- Do not leave your seat without permission.
- Do your own work and turn it in on time.
- No food or drinks are allowed.
- Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, Make-up, cologne, hairspray, fidget spinners, toys, or any other objects that distract from schoolwork are not allowed in class.
- No horseplay, hitting, or other physical contact.

*Please note that Safe School Policy infractions will be immediately referred to the administration.
