Want to start playing the musical instrument of your dreams? Or just beat the lockdown blues by taking up a jazzy new hobby? Why not take part in our Grade-1-a-thon Challenge in aid of the Music Network Instruments for Older People Appeal.

By taking part in our Grade-1-a-thon Challenge and asking your friends and family to sponsor you, you’ll be motivating yourself to keep going, while helping us to raise funds for a new national collection of instruments for older learners.

The Royal Irish Academy of Music is generously offering Grade-1-a-thon participants a chance to take their Grade 1 exam online in April-June 2021 free of charge (subject to availability), so there's no excuse not to give it a shot!*
