NUCHAASHII OPEN MIC NIGHT
Our first-ever Nuchaashii Open Mic Night was held in March to celebrate Sanshin no Hi (Sanshin Day). Whether you're a hobbyist, an aspiring artist, or even a professional, we want to provide a comfortable, informal space to practice, try out new songs, or casually sing/play/dance for a supportive audience.

THEME: OBON
Music and dance are a couple of ways through which we connect with our ancestors and keep Obon traditions alive. Since Shichigwachi (Obon in Okinawa) is coming up on August 31 (Unkee), September 1 (Nakanuhi), September 2 (Uukui) (based on the lunar calendar), we invite members and friends to perform in memory of loved ones who are no longer with us. It can be a dance that they loved (Bon dance or otherwise), a song that reminds you of them, a poem, or even a short talk-story about them.
