Welcome to CRMS and your Freshman Course Registration.
Students must earn a minimum of 20 credits during 9th through 12th grades and are strongly encouraged to exceed 20 credits to enhance their college admissibility.
CRMS Academic Graduation Requirements:Minimum requirements by discipline:- English- 4 credits
- Mathematics- 3 credits (through Algebra II)
- History- 3 credits (US History or AP US History required)
- Science- 3 credits (Biology & Chemistry required. Physics strongly recommended)
- Modern Language- 2 credits (3 credits are strongly recommended)
- Fine Arts- Art Survey required for Freshmen
Computer Science classes can be counted as a math or science elective in terms of credit requirements. College expectations: The ideal transcript for a college reflects four years in most disciplines: - 4 years of English required
- 4 years of mathematics recommended
- 4 years of history recommended
- 4 years science recommended
- 4 years of modern language recommended
Important Registration Information: - Freshmen take six courses each semester. Exceptions to this course load requires approval from both the student's Advisor and the Academic Dean.
- Instructional Support (IS) does not count as a class.
- When choosing your math class please choose the level that follows your currently enrolled level (e.g. Current level = Algebra I --- Next level = Geometry).
A student must earn a C- or above in mathematics and language to proceed to the next level, with rare exceptions granted by the department and the Academic Dean. If a student wishes to advance to a higher level of study, summer school work is possible with permission from the Academic Dean.
