ASC's Honour and Master student symposium submission form
The Australian Science Communicators (ASC) will be holding the inaugural online annual symposium for honours and master students completing research in science communication. This symposium will see students in their final year, from across Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand, to have the opportunity to present their research to the science communication network and an opportunity to network with the wider community afterwards.

The ASC are looking to start this as a yearly symposium where students completing their final year of research have an opportunity to present, have access to a recording of their presentation, and an opportunity to hear what's happening around Australia and Aotearoa, New Zealand. For 2022, this event is restricted to honours or masters students where their research is related to science communication (science communication does not need to be in the title of the degree).
N.B. future iterations of the symposium may broaden to include PhD students but this year they should look forward to our conference in Canberra, in February 2023.

We're keen to feature as many presentations as possible during the week of the 14th November. This may mean the event spans multiple nights to accommodate.  At present the event will be structured with 10 min presentation followed by audience questions, however we will give the final structure as we develop the program.

At present, we are looking for your abstract submissions - a little description of what your presentation will be about and what you researched. The ASC will then compile this information and be back in contact with the date of the symposium and how to prepare.

Please have your submissions in before 14th October 2022. If you miss this deadline, please get in contact and we will try to help where we can.

For the best user experience, we suggest completing this form on a computer. If you require more information please contact office@asc.asn.au.
