You MUST be 15 years of age prior to the commencement of the course and an association accredited referee (green shirt) for 12 months minimum.

Referees must complete a theory exam and on-court assessment to meet the competencies outlined within the Level 1 course - see BWA Website for full requirements

Important Notices

Please be mindful that you have 16 months to complete your on court sign off, this sign off will  be done on U16B games, Friday nights.  

Not everyone will be signed off at the same time, each of you will develop the skills and knowledge on court in your own time.  

You may receive multiple feedback assessments, this is OK and also encouraged.

On court assessment is arranged with a qualified Level 1 Referee Educator.  

Assessments will not commence immediately, you will be required to referee FRIDAY night games to gain your sign offs and you might take some time to transition to these games.
