ALASKA ACTE PDC is back face to face at the Hotel Captain Cook on October 17 & 18, 2022.

The conference is an opportunity for CTE secondary and post-secondary teachers and administrators, counselors and advisers, and other CTE professionals to network and learn from each other, meet partners for potential collaborative work, and fill their tool kit with teaching tools and other strategies to take back to work and into the classroom.

WE NEED YOU to share your knowledge and expertise with your colleagues. With this call the AK ACTE is seeking proposals from volunteer presenters for 50 minute breakout sessions or 110 minute interactive hands on workshops.  

TOPICS for the conference will focus on five of the sixteen career clusters:
Architecture & Construction
Manufacturing
Education & Training
Government & Public Administration
Hospitality & Tourism.

PRESENTATION suggestions are as follows:

Best Practices: Example of topics include, but are not limited to, rural/urban innovative partnerships and programs; rural/urban/articulations, classroom program/partnerships, school to apprentice or other work based learning models, industry and other partnerships unique and innovative programs and CTE delivery models, vendor/educators partnerships.

Teaching and Learning Strategies: Examples of topics include, but are not limited to, teaching with technology, FabLabs, Computer Aided Drawing or 3-D printing, distance delivery or other teaching technologies.

Leadership for Educators and Administrators: Examples of topics include, but are not limited to, leading change, student leadership college and career readiness development, guiding a needs assessment development process, collaborative leadership leading diversity, equity and access initiatives.


Please complete the submission form no later than SEPTEMBER 2.   Selected speakers will be notified no later than SEPTEMBER 10, 2022.  Communication will be with the primary speaker, others that are a part of the presentation will not be notified directly.
