The BMIT Fall conference will highlight a variety of resources in the business and technology classrooms. Jacqui Garrison and Sydney Kobza are excited to put together this conference. You will have an opportunity to share resources with colleagues from other districts. A panel of business and industry professionals will discuss trends in the workplace during lunch. In addition to the networking opportunities, the Nebraska Department of Education will provide updates regarding the new Business, Marketing, and Management (BMM) and Communication and Information Systems (CIS) Standards.

There will be opportunities for teachers to attend sessions regarding resources and teaching strategies in their specific content. The following topics/areas will have breakout sessions:

Communication Arts (Photo and Video Editing)

Web Design

Computer Science
The conference will be hosted on three different days. The dates are listed below:
September 13, UNO-Mammel Hall, Omaha
October 16, ESU 10- Kearney*
October 17, ESU 10- Kearney*
*Note that there will be repeat sessions on both Kearney dates. October 16th will have a more CIS focus while the 17th will be more BMM focused. Individuals can register for one or both days of the conference*
The conference will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch will be sponsored by the Nebraska Council on Economic Education.
