Certifications *
Please list valid certifications and expiration dates Crew Leaders must have a Wilderness First Responder. Assistant Crew Leaders must have a Wilderness First Aid training (or higher). If you do not already have the required level of certification, RMYC provides a Wilderness First Aid training free of cost at the start of the season and a Wilderness First Responder for a low price at the start of the season. If you have questions about obtaining these certifications, please contact the Program Manager for the position you are most interested in (see staff page on website).
Essential Job Functions *
RMYC work is both physically and mentally demanding. We operate in all types of weather conditions. Physical demands of the job can include swinging tools, heavy lifting, working in extreme weather conditions, and hiking with a backpack carrying personal gear/crew gear/tools for extended periods of time (typically 8-10 hours a day). Is there anything that would prevent you from performing the essential job functions in a reasonable and safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation?
