「城巷聲境」是新的試行項目，構思成華埠年度音樂節的後記節目，旨於讓兩地有機會接觸彼此間具潛力的支持者和合作夥伴，以及促進文化交流的活動。這活動更配合了香港最新文化政策—擁抱中西文化，透過過去多年來的文化設施與全球關係聯網及招攬各地卓越人才。本節目包括小組議論壇，小型電影放映和現場音樂演出以呼應香港重回國際舞台，「城巷聲境」召集了敲擊襄現於世界各地定居的的成員，並與舊金山中華文化中心的策展團隊攜手合作，於2019年在舊呂宋巷41號首度亮相，帶來以聲音為本的展覽「襄音」，於演奏廳外築起人們興趣並啟發創意。此短期項目還包括創意聲音漫步，華埠進行的研究和聲音資料搜集，以及在當地舉辦一場回應展，對聲音掏腰包的藝術家駐留計劃「簡單交流」作回應。作曲家與跨界別藝術家葉浩堃的新作「呂宋巷音樂」是以約翰‧凱吉的「客廳音樂」為靈感，配上香港敲擊樂大師龍向榮博士編曲的樂章，為這即興項目娓娓道出自香港到華埠的故事。
“City Sound '' is a new pilot project framed as the epilogue of the annual Chinatown Music Festival, it serves as a bi-city activity to reach out to potential supporters and collaborators and introduce cultural exchange. With Hong Kong updated cultural policy - Embracing both Chinese and Western cultures, established its cultural infrastructure and global network over the years and drew in a vast pool of outstanding talents from around the world. The program consists of a Panel Discussion, Micro-film Screening, and Live Music performance In response to the return to the world stage, “City Sound '' will reunite members of Toolbox Percussion around the world and collaborate with the curatorial team of CCCSF. Debuting at the 41Ross in 2019, Toolbox Percussion has been forming its creative interest outside of the concert hall to engage and inspire new audiences through sound-based exhibition - “A Double Listen”. This stopover project will include a creative soundwalk, research and sound collection in Chinatown, and a response exhibition to soundpocket’s artist residency “Simple Interactions' at the same location. Composer and interdisciplinary artist Austin Yip's new musical composition “Ross Alley Music'' inspired by John Cage’s Living Room Music, featuring a movement arranged by Hong Kong’s percussion master Dr. Lung Heung Wing, bringing the story from Hong Kong to San Francisco Chinatown for this impromptu project.
