Focus Groups for the DOE FESAC Long Range Planning Activity
As part of the Phase II of the DOE Fusion Energy Sciences Advisory Committee Long Range Planning (LRP) Activity, the FESAC sub-committee is seeking to gather additional input beyond what is reported in the Phase I Community Planning Process (CPP) Report.  Specifically, we are interested in gathering input on (1) Cross-cutting scientific opportunities between the Fusion Science and Technology (FST) and Discovery Plasma Science (DPS) areas and (2) on how the Long Range Plan might consider overall program balance between FST and DPS.

To best organize the feedback, we have scheduled the focus groups for various populations. If you self-identify with any of these groups: women and non-cisgendered male, students, early career scientists and engineers, later career scientists and engineers, or underrepresented minorities and you are in a career or field of study related to any of these topics: Magnetic Fusion Energy, Fusion Materials and Technology, High Energy Density Physics, or General Plasma Science, please sign up to participate in a focus group session.  Signups will be on a first come basis, with the caveat that we may need to limit slots allotted per institution so that we can hear from a broad group and keep each session small. However, additional times may be scheduled if the below options fill up, so please let us know if you’d like to participate and aren’t able to sign up during one of the times below.

Each of the focus groups will consist of a ~90 minute moderated discussion. The discussion questions will be the same for all the groups, so please only sign up for one group even if you self-identify with more than one. Once you sign up, we will email you the virtual meeting connection information for your selected focus group

NOTE:  Our Mid-Career/Senior Groups have filled!  We will likely open up additional; please choose "Future session for Mid to Senior Career" in the options below
