YARN presents a new 2021-2022 pedagogical workshop series: Decolonising the Classroom

Join us as we launch this new series on June 22 at 16h30. (Digital meeting link sent upon registration.)

The YARN diversity, equity and inclusion taskforce will introduce the series, define our terms, and begin the discussion on why this series is important for us at the RuG. We also want to hear from you about your experiences in the classroom and what you’d like to learn from this series.

Before the workshop, we recommend you read: “Decolonisation is not a metaphor” by Eve Tuck & K. Wayne Yang

All participants will receive a little surprise in the mail, and workshop attendees have the opportunity to win a copy of Gloria Wekker’s White Innocence.
