MHRR believes strongly in education & discussion rather than discrimination. Certain household pets or lifestyles do not automatically rule out a home for fostering. Please be honest and detailed when answering this questionnaire. This helps us determine which pets would be most ideal for your home and to make sure both you and your foster pet are happy.

We have adoption days just about every other Sunday at Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge. We get two types of adopters: those that know which pigs they want and those that are undecided and would like to meet multiple pigs. You have the choice to bring your fosters when we have an undecided adopter or you can only bring your fosters if they have specifically been requested. It's up to you. If your Sunday's are busy, we can coordinate getting your fosters beforehand so they can be at the event. You are volunteering your time so we are flexible around your schedule.

We provide a cage large enough for a pair, hay, pellets, water bottle, food bowl, two hideys, and paper/wood bedding. Guinea pigs do love vegetables so if you have scraps from your own kitchen and household, feel free to let them be the little composts that they are.
