Crawl, Walk and Roll into Fall & Movement Warriors Series
Join us as APT and Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati partner for our Fall Series held at APT's Northern Kentucky clinic located at 51 Cavalier Blvd Suite 230, Florence, KY 41042. Read below for details on each series!


Crawl, Walk and Roll into Fall

Ages: 0-5

Date: November 16th and November 23rd

Time: Pre-Crawlers 5:30-6:00pm, Crawlers/Walkers 6:15-6:45

Description: Come enjoy a fall themed gross motor activity series while working with certified Physical and Occupational Therapists from Associates in Pediatric Therapy in Northern Kentucky! This 2-class mini-series will educate parents to have a good understanding of gross motor milestones and empower parents to help their child reach those milestones through play-based activities they will be able to do at home!

 Objectives:

-Parents will identify the next 1-3 gross motor milestones their child is expected to reach.

-Parents will gain knowledge of several meaningful and motivating ways to engage with their child to promote gross motor and fine motor skill progression.



Movement Warriors

Ages: Two age ranges:  6-12 y.o. and 13 – 18 y.o.

Dates:  November 2nd and 9th

Time: 6 – 12 year olds at 5:30 – 6:15pm and 13 – 18 year olds at 6:30 – 7:15pm

Description: Enjoy practicing gross motor skills in a therapy based setting!  Certified therapists will work with your child on mobility, movement, body mechanics, balance, and much more while having fun completing various obstacle courses.

Objectives:

-Child will learn that they are capable of pushing themselves to reach challenging goals.  

-Child will engage in motivating and challenging physical activity that promotes physical wellness.

-Parents will identify new or variable means to motivate or challenge their child in physical activity to promote wellness.
