AI Fundamentals & Ethical Considerations (3 days, 2-2.5 hrs per day) - This high-level introductory workshop is designed for non-technical workers and introduces technical concepts (e.g., Regression Analysis, Model Optimization, Recommender Systems) in language that is accessible. Participants will develop awareness about bias in AI, sources, types, and potential harmful impacts.

Excel to AI (2-3 days, 2-2.5 hrs per day) - By introducing Python as a problem-solving tool with greater capacity to tackle a wider variety of data challenges, as well as its ability to deal with larger volumes and great complexity in data, this course is designed as one of the entry points on a learning pathway towards AI technologies and applications.

Bias in AI: Practical Examples in NLP and Computer Vision (5 weeks) - This course is designed to help companies and their employees build AI capacity both in technical skills and in responsible applications of AI. During this course, participants will apply the program learnings to their organizations and present these to instructors and stakeholders from Vector Institute in their final week.

Intro to Machine Learning (5 weeks) - This course introduces the main concepts and ideas in machine learning, and provides an overview of many commonly used machine learning algorithms.

Mathematical Foundations for AI (5 weeks) - This course provides an overview of the mathematical and computational foundation that is required to build artificial intelligence and machine learning systems. Participants are expected to have already taken undergraduate courses in probability & statistics, vector calculus, linear algebra, continuous optimization, and data structures & algorithms.

Deep Learning (Applied or Theory; 5 weeks) - This course gives an overview of the foundational ideas and the most recent advances in neural net algorithms with a focus on supervised learning. Lectures will be supplemented by tutorials where participants will learn how to implement, train and improve supervised models using Python.

Reinforcement Learning (5 weeks) - This course will cover Markov decision processes, reinforcement learning, planning, and function approximation (online supervised learning). This course will take an information-processing approach to the concept of mind and briefly touch on perspectives from psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy.
