Renewable Energy Policy and Development Forum
An event under the Brunei Darussalam Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition
Organised by the Ministry of Energy and Universiti Brunei Darussalam

Transitioning Brunei Darussalam towards low carbon power generation is one of the strategies spelled out in the Brunei National Climate Change Policy (BNCCP). The government targets to increase the share of renewable energy to at least 30% of total power installed capacity (around 300 MW) by 2035. The Policy document outlines strategic objectives and identified policy tools to promote renewable energy deployment in the country. The key objective of this Forum is to present the renewable energy policy and development road map and facilitate stakeholder discussions on the preferred policy instruments. The Forum also presents experiences of industry early movers as well as perspectives from the academe.

The Forum is open to government agencies and corporate bodies, tertiary level students and public. This event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Energy (ME) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) through the Energy and Environmental Policy and Management Cluster of the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS).
