HBRA Virtual Summer 2021 - Volunteer Tutor Application Form
Raising Readers in Story County coordinates a FREE summer tutoring program to promote literacy skills and prevent the "summer slide". Students must have completed kindergarten through 3rd grade. Each child will be paired virtually with a trained volunteer tutor. They will meet for personalized reading sessions through the ZOOM platform to help maintain summer literacy skills. These 45 minute sessions (volunteers are paired with one student per session and meet twice per week) will be hosted and supervised virtually by RRSC site supervisors.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer tutor for this program, please fill out the application below. Volunteer tutors must be at least 14 years old. All volunteers will undergo a background check.

The Harrison and Brittany Barnes Foundation is a proud sponsor of this program.
