2024 Agility Nationals Volunteer Survey

To make the 2024 Agility Nationals NSW the best ever, we need volunteers to assist from Tuesday 9th July to Sunday 14th July. The Agility Committee relies on support from Affiliate Clubs, their members and the broader agility community to enable us to run this trial successfully.

For Affiliate Clubs or individuals volunteering in a competition ring, four stewards are needed per ring per competition and finals days, for 5 days in total. Gamblers events will require one additional experienced steward to assist with scoring. Individuals will receive $50 per full day of volunteering. Clubs will receive $1050 to staff a ring across the 5 days of the Nationals.

Individuals – If you aren’t competing at the Nationals this year, but plan to come and watch, why not sit ringside and get paid? Maybe you are not competing every day and have a day or two spare! Or perhaps you have a friend or relative who might like to volunteer for a day or two. Roles will be: Lead Steward, Assembly Steward, Computer Scribe and Paper Scribe.

Clubs - The Agility Committee is requesting the assistance of Affiliate Clubs to volunteer to staff and /or manage competition rings.

This survey is to gather contact information from clubs and individuals. Another survey will be sent to you via email where you can indicate your availability and stewarding preferences.

And as always, we will need ‘pick up artists’*, volunteers that are experienced at this job, novice level or anywhere in between. You will make the day run smoothly and finish on time, not to mention keep the judges fresher without them having to pick up bars. You don’t need to volunteer for this important role, just be there during the competition to assist.

* Picking up bars. The upside, you get to stand/sit ringside, watch and chat with your friends whilst doing this very important job.
