LAU takes internet safety and personal responsibility very seriously. As a help to our families, we have the following safeguards in place:
1. All school computer screens may be monitored at any time.
2. LAU allows the use of Chrome, Firefox, and Windows Edge browsers only.
3. Internet access will be disabled on all LAU-issued student computers from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. each night.
4. In addition to the normal protections that are currently in place, we are also blocking shopping,
entertainment, and gaming. (Amazon Book orders must be placed on other devices).
The use of an LAU computer or equipment is a privilege, not a right. Inappropriate use of these resources may result in disciplinary action (including the possibility of suspension or expulsion), and/or referral to legal authorities. The director, teacher/supervisor, or systems administrator may limit, suspend, or revoke access to electronic resources at any time.
We remind all parents that no filtering system is perfect. We encourage all parents to provide additional internet security and student supervision. Information on how to further provide in-home internet safety for your student can be found in the LAU Parent Student handbook and on the website here.

1- Take care of LAU computers to the best of your ability.
2- Abide by the parent and student(s) responsibilities and guidelines as stated in the Laptop/Chromebook Handbook and on the Laptop/Chromebook Handbook Loan Agreement.
3- Type your name below, completing an electronic checkout and signature by which you are agreeing to the handbook terms.
