In particular, your attention is called to the Wm. S. Hart Union High School District’s policy on possession/use/influence of alcohol, drugs or any controlled substances (AR 5131.6). Stated simply:  
Any student who has unlawfully possessed, used, sold or otherwise furnished or been under the influence of any controlled substance as defined in Section 11032 of the Health and Safety Code, alcoholic beverage or intoxicant of any kind at school or any school sponsored activity shall be subject to:

1. An immediate five (5) day out-of-school suspension;
2. Possible arrest by law enforcement authorities;
3. Possible expulsion from all schools in the District;
4. Possible transfer to another school or educational program;
5. Possible denial of the privilege of participation in graduation ceremonies and/or extracurricular activities.

School personnel will check all students prior to entering the event, and security officers will monitor activity throughout the evening. You are further advised that any such violation of the above policy will necessitate your parents providing transportation home from the event and your ticket will not be refunded.

Valencia High School may opt to allow non-Valencia students to attend dances as guests. Valencia students must have their guest approved by filling out a guest permission slip. School personnel have the right to permit or deny any non-Valencia student from attending a Valencia High School dance if in the best interest of the general student body. Valencia High School administrators will screen the list of all guests. If your guest is not eligible to attend, you will be asked to choose another. Please note: All guests must be current high school students or if graduated under the age of 21. Guests need to provide photo identification when purchasing the ticket and at the door.

The school dress code will be enforced at all dances, please review prior to attending. Students must remain dressed throughout the dance in the same manner as they entered. IF YOU ARE DRESSED INAPPROPRIATELY, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE DANCE AND YOUR MONEY WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Valencia Administration retains the authority to ban specific clothing to maintain event safety.

Students and their guests are expected to behave appropriately on the dance floor.  Any students or guests who engage in dangerous, lewd or other inappropriate behavior on the dance floor, including any dancing that may be interpreted as being sexually suggestive, will be removed from the dance and sent home without a refund.

I understand and acknowledge that participation in these activities, by their very nature, pose the potential risk of serious injury/illness to individuals who participate in such activities. I understand and acknowledge that participation in these activities is completely voluntary and as such in not required by the District for course credit or for completion of graduation requirements. I understand and acknowledge that in order to participate in these activities, my son/daughter and I agree to assume liability and responsibility for any and all potential risks that may be associated with participation in such activities. I understand, acknowledge, and agree that the District, its employees, officers, agents, or volunteers shall not be liable for any injury/illness suffered by my son/daughter which is incident to and/or associated with preparing for and/or participating in these activities.

Should it be necessary for my son/daughter to have medical care, I hereby give the school district personnel permission to use their judgment in obtaining medical care and ambulance service. I also give permission to the physician selected by the school district personnel to render medical care deemed necessary and appropriate by the physician. I understand that the school district has no insurance covering such medical or hospital costs incurred for such medical or hospital costs incurred by my child and therefore, any cost incurred for such treatment shall be my sole responsibility.

También eres responsable de comunicar las reglas escolares y expectativas a tus invitados, si son estudiantes de la escuel;a secundaria Valencia.

En particular, se llama la atención sobre la póliza del Distrito Wm. S. Hart Union High School de uso/posesión/influencia de alcohol, drugs or any controlled substances. Indicado simplemente: Cualquier estudiante que ha ilegalmente poseído, utilizado, vendido, dado o estado bajo la influencia de cualquier sustancia controlada segú se define en sección 11032 de la Salud y Código de Seguridad, bebida alcohólica  o intoxicante será sujeto a:
 
1. Una suspensión fuera de la escuela de inmediato cinco 5 días;
2. Posible detención por las autoridades policiales;
3. Expulsión de todas las escuelas del distrito;
4. Posible traslado a otra escuela o programa educativo;
5. Posible negación del privilegio de la participación en las ceremonias de graduación o actividades extracurriculares.

Personal de la escuela controlará todos los estudiantes antes de entrar en el evento, y los guardias de seguridad vigilarán la actividad durante toda la noche. Además se aconseja que cualquier tal violación de la póliza anterior necesitarán que tus padres te recogan al inicio del evento y no se reembolsará el dinero del evento.

Los invitados que no son estudiantes de la escuela Valencia deben tener su invitado aprobado antes de asistir. Los administradores de la escuela Valencia controlarán la lista de todos los huéspedes. Si tu invitado no es elegible para asistir, se te pedirá que elijas a otro. Tenga en cuenta: para todos los bailes escolares los participantes debe estar entre las edades de 14 y 20 años de edad y debe proporcionar identificación en la puerta. Además, usted puede traer un invitado que sea de una escuela del distrito, pero deben proporcionar la identificación de la escuela en la puerta.  

CODIGO DE VESTIMENTA REQUERIDO
El código de vestimenta será reinforzado. Vestido apropiado para un baile formal se requiere y se espera para la noche. SI USTED ESTÁ VESTIDA INADECUADAMENTE, NO SE LE PERMITIRÁ ENTRAR EN LA DANZA Y SU DINERO NO SERÁ REEMBOLSADO. Se requiere una camisa de vestir con cuello y pantalones (saco y corbata opcional) para chicos y un vestido de noche o vestido de traje (no escotes exagerados, no estómago expuesto, material transparente en áreas inadecuadas, o faldas muy cortas) para las niñas. Está prohibido los pantalones de mezclilla (azul o negros), pantalones cargo, pantalones cortos, sudaderas y ropa que violan el código de vestimenta. Los estudiantes deben permanecer vestidos como entraron a través de la danza. Código de vestido de fiesta es informal, pero todavía debe seguir el código de vestir de las escuelas.

EXPECTATIVA DEL PISO DE DANZA
Los estudiantes y los invitados deben comportarse adecuadamente en el piso de baile. Cualquier estudiante o invitado involucrado en comportamiento peligroso, indecente u otro comportamientoinadecuado en el piso de danza, incluso cualquier tipo de danza que pueda ser interpretada como sexualmente sugestiva (Freak Style Dancing) , será hechado del baile y enviado a la casa.

AUTORIZACION AYUDA MEDICA
Si fuese necesario para mi hijo/a recibir ayuda médica durante el evento, a continuación doy mi autorización  al personal escolar de proveer servicio médico y de ambulancia. Doy también permiso para que el médico dé los sericios necesarios de acuerdo con el caso. Entiendo que el distrito escolar no tiene seguro que cubra costos de hospital/medicos incurridos por mi hijo/a y por lo tanto seremos responsables por todos los gastos.
