Archives Fellowship Application Form - Host Organization

The SRMA Archives Fellowship program is intended to support and recruit students and early career professionals from underrepresented and marginalized communities who are interested in a career in the archives profession. An additional goal of this program is to discourage unpaid internships by providing paid work experience at an hourly rate appropriate with the high value of archival work. To this end, SRMA will provide a grant of up to $6,000 for a project up to 16 weeks in duration.

Host organizations are responsible for providing supplies, necessary tools, training, and supervision for the project. All funding for the fellowship salary will be provided by SRMA and paid directly to the fellow. Free SRMA membership for one year is also provided to the fellow. Host institutions must be able to provide ongoing guidance and supervision to the fellow.

Work may be done onsite, remotely, or a combination of both, depending on the fellow’s availability, the project, and the needs of the partner institution.

For final consideration, the proposed fellow and mentor host site should each complete and submit their application form separately, after agreeing upon the details of the project together. Please note the application deadline is May 1, 2024. Any questions whatsoever may be directed to the SRMA Diversity and Inclusion Committee at: aaron.ramirez@pueblolibrary.org.
