DCPS 5th Annual Math Bowl 2020
The 2020 DCPS Math Bowl will be held at Roosevelt High School (4301 13th St, NW, Washington, DC). The purpose of this form is to solicit volunteers from the community and participating schools. This year we're adding a high school competition to event. The elementary, middle and high school bowl competitions will occur simultaneously on Thursday, March 12th, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Volunteers are needed as early as 4:30 pm (see below). Thank you in advance for your support!

Positions Available:
PLEASE NOTE: On the day of the event, there will be a brief volunteer training/orientation prior to the start of your shift.

Moderators (3): Serves as the facilitator of the bowl (i.e. reading questions, managing proctors, keeping the audience engaged with math humor.

Time keeper (4): Monitors and resets timer (displayed on screen) for each question.

Proctors (55): Monitors team at table and raises hand when moderator asks for teams with the correct answer.

Scorekeepers (15): Flips scorecard for a group of teams when proctor’s hand is raised.

Greeters:  Greet families, friends, and teams at the door with directions and program.

Supper Greeters:  Ensures that students receive their supper before transitioning to the math bowl.

Registration Team (6):  Greet and check-in teams as they arrive.
