Community Food Educator - Employment Application
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Community Food Educator (CFE) with FRESHFARM's FoodPrints program! Below is a short summary of the role:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Community Food Educators (CFEs) will be assigned to one of FoodPrints partners: Kimball Elementary, Simon Elementary, Centronía, or Easterseales. They are responsible for three main areas of work:
1) Community Engagement
- Work with teachers and coworkers to generate excitement within the school community about the Farm Stand, FoodPrints programming and cooking sessions.
- Facilitate cooking demos in person at Farm Stand and virtually during “Chop it Up!” sessions.
- Maintain a database with up to date information on community interactions.
2) Farm Stand Management
- Prepare farm stand table display and distribute flyers and various promotional materials.
- Act a transaction coordinator; responsible for implementing and record keeping of local food access programs.
- Share information with farm stand customers about various produce items, storage tips, recipes, nutrition and local food access programs.
3) Classroom Support
- Support the use of FoodPrints’ curriculum in cooking and environmental literacy classes.
- Demonstrate willingness and excitement to work closely with and take direction from FoodPrints Lead Teachers, Instructional Coaches, and Community Engagement Manager & Coordinator.
