Community Development Fund

Application deadline passed.

Capital Credit Union is a community-based Credit Union that serves its members in the South Dublin area. Capital Credit Union’s catchment area includes most of Dublin 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 14, 16, 18 and North County Wicklow.

Capital Credit Union’s primary services to its members are loans and savings, along with a range of additional services such as insurance, financial advice and foreign exchange. Along with this, Capital Credit Union sponsors around €60,000 annually in the local community through its Community Council.

To further support the community and focus more on projects dedicated to the development of the community, we have created a Community Development Fund (CDF). This fund is to assist with significant community-based initiatives within the Capital Credit Union common bond as outlined above.

To apply for sponsorship from the Community Development Fund, any request must fit within one of the following categories:

  1. Arts & Culture,
  2. Sustainability,
  3. Physical Activity & Sports,
  4. Community Development,
  5. Youth.
The CDF is designed to complement our Community Council sponsorships and is aimed at significant projects in the community. To be applicable for sponsorship from the CDF, projects must also:
  • Have a budget of at least €10,000
  • Be sustainable or have a positive impact in the community for 3 years or more
  • Be located within Capital Credit Union’s catchment area
  • Reflect the values and ethos of Capital Credit Union
