This nine-month fellowship includes taking immigration law training from the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC). This training consists of their Comprehensive Overview of Immigration Law (COIL) virtual e-course, along with being placed at a community-based immigration legal services organization to gain hands-on training in immigration law. Student fellows will also receive the academic and social-emotional supports needed for them to learn and succeed in this field.
Fellows will be awarded up to $10,000 in stipends and awarded up to $5,000 in scholarships during their participation in the nine-month fellowship.
Please be prepared to spend at least 10 hours per week on this course, meetings, and trainings and at least 10 a week at your field placement.
Upon completion of the course, student fellows who pass the final will receive a certificate for COIL.
