Special skills - Please let us know if you have special skills or experiences that you're willing to use to support the school and the Stuy PA.  For example, are you an accountant, writer or editor, designer, fundraiser....?

Please check out the list of PA Committees below - check the box next to all that interest you. We're always looking to add members! 

You can work with the Committee Chairs to figure out your role and commitment level. Please email volunteer@stuy-pa.org with any questions!
Academic Affairs Committee - a key bridge between the families and the school's academics
Appropriations - assess funding requests from school departments, teams, clubs; make funding recommendations
Career Exploration Committee - help expose students to the wide range of career opportunities by running the annual Career Fair with the Student Union.
College Committee - help design and run college admissions support programs for families and students
Grant Writing - help write grants that raise money for new labs and equipment
Faculty Reception Committee - help set up, serve, and clean up for special lunches for our faculty and staff, to show our appreciation, and for college reps during college fair.
Financial Operations - keep the PA fiscally sound, process invoices for payment, develop and implement financial policies and procedures,
Fundraising - run the Annual Appeal, create fundraising content and materials, manage the CRM, solicit sponsorships
Diverse Learners Committee - support for students with IEPs, 504, etc
Health and Safety - keep our community safe and healthy, work with the School Safety Committee, and create opportunities for mutual support
Hospitality - help keep our members feeling welcome and well fed at our PA events
Independent Research - support research, connect students to mentors, support science showcases
Mentor students performing research
MOSAIC -  a vibrant group where Stuy's BIPOC families find support, resources, and belonging, and work together to try to strengthen belonging, equity, and inclusion at Stuy
Outreach - help create community
Program Committee - plan and implement programming for PA meetings and other events
Technology committee - support tech needs at PA and school events; help assess needs, investigate solutions, set up and advocate for appropriate technology use by PA and school
Spirit Wear - help design and procure merch, organize and track inventory, sell merch at events
Spring Gala - help solicit auction items, plan logistics, put together the program, sell tickets, manage the online auction
Volunteer Coordination - help recruit and coordinate volunteers for school and PA events.
