نحن الموقعون أدناه نطالب السلطات المصرية بفتح معبر رفح مع قطاع غزة بشكل دائم ومباشر دون تدخل أمريكي أو إسرائيلي أو اوروبي، بما:
- يسمح بدخول المساعدات الإنسانية والوفود الطبية،
- نقل الجرحى إلى مصر وخارجها بشكل دائم وبدون شروط.
- بالاضافة لحركة الفلسطينيين من والى غزة للحالات الانسانية لا للتهجير
- بالإضافة إلى استئناف تصدير البضائع من مصر إلى قطاع غزة بشكل طبيعي كما كان قبل ٧ تشرين الأول ٢٠٢٣.
إن تشديد إسرائيل حصارها الكامل على قطاع غزة بعد 7 أكتوبر وقطع كافة أساسيات الحياة بالإضافة لإغلاق معبر رفح من جانب السلطات المصرية أدى إلى كارثة إنسانية وصحية تودي بحياة الآلاف من الفلسطينيين وفي مقدمتهم الأطفال الذين باتوا يموتون بسبب الجفاف حسب شهادة اليونيسف. بالإضافة إلى خروج أكثر من ثلثي المستشفيات و70% من المراكز الصحية عن الخدمة بالتدمير المباشر او بسبب نفاذ الوقود والمواد الطبية الأساسية وانهاك الطواقم الطبية الفلسطينية، في ظل إبادة جماعية تمارسها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق الشعب الفلسطيني بمشاركة مباشرة من الولايات المتحدة وأوروبا وكندا وبريطانيا.
إن الإبادة الجماعية الجارية بحق الشعب الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة تجاوزت في عدد الشهداء الإبادة الجماعية التي ارتكبها الصرب في مجزرة سربرنيتسا وحدها بحق البوسنة والهرسك. حتى وقت كتابة البيان قتلت الغارات الإسرائيلية أكثر من 10.000 فلسطيني بالإضافة إلى الآلاف من المفقودين تحت أنقاض البيوت المهدمة جُلّهم من الأطفال، و السيدات بالإضافة إلى أكثر من 35.000 جريح. هذه الأرقام تتزايد بسبب القتل الجماعي الاسرائيلي و أيضا بسبب من يفقدون حياتهم لنقص الأدوية وانقطاع الكهرباء والمياه والغذاء. بالإضافة إلى تدمير الاحتلال لأكثر من نصف منازل القطاع وتدمير واسع للبنية التحتية والذي جعل ثلثي أهل القطاع من النازحين والمهجرين في الطرقات والمدارس والمستشفيات.
انطلاقاً من حقيقة أن معبر رفح هو معبر فلسطيني – مصري ومن الواجب القانوني والأخلاقي والعربي والإنساني المنوط بجمهورية مصر العربية، نطالب الحكومة المصرية برفض الإملاءات الإسرائيلية والأمريكية التي تفرض مرور المساعدات عبر معبر العوجا للتفتيش والمصادرة من قبل جيش الاحتلال قبل أن يسمح بدخولها إلى قطاع غزة بشكل لا يلبي احتياجات القطاع الخاضع لاحتلال عسكري منذ عام 1967 وحصار كامل منذ عام 2006، وإبادة جماعية صنعها العدوان الصهيوني.
إن فتح معبر رفح فورا و ادخال كافة احتياجات القطاع من غذاء و ماء و دواء و طاقة و تعزيز صمود الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة ووقف الكارثة الإنسانية بشتى السبل، بما يشمل تصعيد موقف مصري حازم لوقف إطلاق النار، يشكل أهم خطوة في إفشال مخططات تهجير الفلسطينيين إلى سيناء بهدف سرقة بلادهم وأراضيهم الذي تروج لها إسرائيل وحليفتها الولايات المتحدة.

We, the undersigned, demand that the Egyptian authorities Open the Rafah Crossing, immediately and permanently, without American, Israeli or European interference:
- For the passage of humanitarian aid and medical staff into the Gaza Strip.
- For the transfer of those in need of medical assistance into and out of Egypt.
- For the travel of Palestinian in critical humanitarian cases not for displacement.
- For the export of goods from Egypt to Gaza as was possible before 7 October 2023.
Israel’s tightening of its total siege of the Gaza Strip after the 7th of October, and the cutting off of vital supplies (like electricity and access to clean water), along the closing of the Rafah Crossing on the part of the Egyptian authorities, has resulted in a humanitarian and health crisis and caused the death of thousands of Palestinians, including of children, according to UNICEF, have died due to extreme dehydration. This is in addition to the fact that a third of Gaza’s hospitals and 75% of its clinics have either been destroyed or are out of service due to lack of fuel, medical supplies and the loss of life among the medical staff themselves in the contexts of an ongoing genocide at the hands of Israel with the support of the USA, Canada, the UK and a number of European countries.
The current genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip has exceeded in its violence and casualties the genocide committed by Serbia in Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the time of writing, Israeli airstrikes have killed more than 10,000 Palestinians in addition to thousands who are missing and/or trapped under the rubble of their destroyed homes and injured at least 35,000. Large numbers of those victims are children, and the numbers are constantly and rapidly on the rise due to both Israel’s ongoing bombardment and the lack of medical supplies, electricity, water, and food. Further, the destruction of more than half of Gaza’s homes and infrastructure has rendered a third of its population homeless and displaced on the roadside, and in school and hospital buildings.
Based on the premise that the Rafah crossing is a “Palestinian-Egyptian border”, and driven by the legal, ethical, humanitarian and Arab mandate and obligation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, we demand that the Egyptian government refuse Israeli and American restrictions imposed on the passing of humanitarian aid and assistance through the Rafah Crossing. At the moment, aid provisions undergo an inefficient process of searching and confiscation, which blocks the passage of direly needed aid. It is worth reiterating that the Gaza Strip, which has been subject to military occupation since 1967, under complete siege since 2006, is undergoing a genocidal campaign by the Israeli regime.
We call for the immediate opening of the Rafah Crossing, for fulfilling the Gaza Strip’s pressing needs of water, food, medical supplies, and fuel, for bolstering the resilience of the Palestinian population of Gaza, and for ending the humanitarian catastrophe by all means including asserting the Egyptian stance on a call for ceasefire. These measures should constitute an essential step towards resisting the plan being currently promoted by Israel – with USA support – to displace the Gaza population into Sinai and occupy their land.
This statement will be submitted to the Egyptian Authorities and their representatives in the Egyptian Embassies all over the world.
