Hunger & Homelessness Coordinator Application
Thank you for considering applying to be a Coordinator for Waltham Group's Hunger and Homelessness!
Hunger and Homelessness has a variety of programming throughout the year, including:
• Outreach to the community to educate about issues pertaining to hunger and homelessness
• Weekly trips to the Community Day Center of Waltham to serve food to shelter residents
• Planning fundraiser events to raise money for the Community Day Center of Waltham
• Fall drive (Halloween for the Hungry), Spring drive (Wellness Drive), and Points drive (end of every semester)
The following is a list of commitments you would be expected to fulfill as a Coordinator:
- Attend occasional CIT training meetings
- Attend weekly hour-long Waltham group meetings (once a full time coordinator)
- Recruit and train volunteers on Volunteer Recruitment Night and beyond
-Attend weekly H&H office hours meetings (2 hours per week) to coordinate programming
-Day-of organization for food drives, shelter trips, and events
Above all, we are looking for applicants who are ready to invest time and passion into our programming. Coordinators are also expected to support other Waltham Group organizations in their service endeavors as needed.
